Go ahead, find a center channel for the same price that even comes close to the sound of the CSi3. I dare you.
When paired with a good mid-line or better receiver (my own is paired with a Yamaha RX-V557), this speaker will not let you down. During movies and video games, voices are incredibly natural. Between the silk-dome tweeter and the two drivers, this speaker can hit every frequency that human vocal chords are capable of producing; that’s important for a center-channel.
Although I generally stick to stereo for most music, unless it’s encoded properly for surround, this speaker will also impress during your favourite tunes. Don’t expect much in the lower frequencies, but mid and highs-will be as accurate as you can imagine.
Finally, though to me, this is one of those superficial qualities, the case design allows the user to place the center below his or her television, pointed up at the user. This adds another measure of flexibility, although the fact that polk doesn’t use this design in their top-line LSiC might point toward how the company really feels about such a speaker arrangement.
All-in-all, you can’t go wrong with the CSi3. The average listener will be blown away, and audiophiles will be impressed with such performance at this price point. I know that I certainly am.

This is the 1st center channel and it really made a big difference at home. It is set up to work above or below you TV just by flipping it upside down. The voice and crisp highs can now be appreciated. At its price and paired up with the rti6′s and fxi a4′s and psw505 all from amazon, I got a great set up at a great deal. I payed half of what it would cost me at a retail shop and shipping is quick. Thanks Amazon.

PROs: Brilliant sound. Fills out the front sound stage exceptionally well. Vocal clarity is top notch. I have found in my ownership of this speaker (since 2008!) that it is very versatile and pairs with most mid to high end speakers surprisingly well. Construction feels solid and the speaker has a good heft to it without being overly heavy. In addition, the speaker is built with a slope on one side that allows the speaker to be placed below eye level and ‘aimed’ upwards to compensate. Screw type binding posts give the option to terminate your speaker wiring any way you please, be it with a banana plug, pin, or just bare wire.
CONs: Cat fur sticks to the grill. To be fair, there’s no accounting for cats.

I had it for a week set up and it is awesome, the clarity is nice and brings the voices to the forefront and makes the surround sound that much realistic. I have the Klipsch senergy satellites (4) and the SW 10″ 320watt powered sub-woofer and (2) Vandersteens C2for the side, I know some people like to match their setup, but I find what devices work the best for my setup. Polk Audio is excellent!!!

The Polk CSi3 Center Channel has definitely enhanced the audio experience. I had previously installed the Polk 8″ ceiling speakers for the front and back channels and this filled in the frontal gap with a touch more base than previously available. I have a sub-woofer to purchase sometime in the near future which should compete the system. I did have to return one of the ceiling speakers for repair without any hassle. Overall, the shopping experience, service and quality of sound is Polk Audio CSi3 Center Channel Speaker (Single, Black)very satisfying.

This center speaker sounds great. This is one of the most important purchases to make for your system, so choosing the center speaker should be done with caution.
I chose this based on my other speaker configurations. Since I have a 7.1 system, I have speakers in the ceiling and the best I could find were Polks. So from there, I branched out to the center, front and sub. All Polk. Polk states that their speakers work together and let me tell you, yes they do!
I am very happy with this center speaker.
It IS large, so it was awkward at first. I ended up putting it on a shelf above the TV but that did not have a negative impact on the audio. The surround sounds great.
The price is right on this speaker so I highly recommend it.

I purchased the CSi3 at the same time as I purchased FXi3s (surround speakers). My mains are Polk RTi100s (no longer manufactured). All speakers are seamless and provide a wonderful soundstage for games and movies. Specific to the CSi3, they sound great with life-like reproduction. They are also able to handle a lot of power; I’ve yet to hear them distort.
Please note, I strongly recommend all of your speakers come from the same manufacturer as this makes a significant difference in how your theater will sound. Of course I recommend Polk, too.

I am very pleased with the sound quality from this speaker. I replaced an Infinity and the difference is very noticable. Clarity of speach is excellent and it reproduces music very well. It is a fairly large speaker, so be sure you have room for it.

This unit was a little larger in size than I expected. But it does sound really good. I’m not an audiophile, and it was my brother in law who helped me pick this unit out. Now I can hear the voices very clearly on certain TV Shows and movies. I’m very satisfied.

This center speaker for the price is fantastic. The voices are very crisp and it sounds great with a dts/dolby digital receiver. I love this center speaker makes my surround sound system intense! POLK AUDIO did a great job. I even got the cheap r30 front speakers and it eally added what I was looking for. My neighbors hate them but it is worth it! Ha!

I did a lot of research into a product for a media room before settling on the CSi3 with the PSW404 Subwoofer to match up with an Onkyo TXSR605 deck and leftover bose acoustimass speakers and a Samsung 120Hz 46″ LCD. I am very satisfied with all of them and sourced all through Amazon. The voices are amazing and has the right punch in a 16′x27′theater room. Shippin was fast although the CSi3 was backordered it shipped in well enough time to get set up together and all compliment each other well. The TV still makes me weep how nice it is for sports and movies. Would definately recommend all of the above componenets for the sport-videophile on a budget. I have seen set ups that are 3-5x the cost that do no look or work as nice. great feedback from people out there did not steer me wrong. Good advice on the bargain HDMI cables as well as they work just as well for $6 dollars as the $80 cable I have through test. If there is a difference I need a warranty on my LASIK instead.

Got this baby for a great price and am very happy with it. I got it to voice match a set of rti4′s that I picked up which I also love. Polk makes some great speakers, and Amazon has some great prices on them if you can be patient and wait for the right deal.

This is my first venture into Polk Audio territory, and I must say I am very impressed. This center channel was bought to fill out the front stage of my surround system, which had been sorely missing a front center speaker for a long time. Amazingly, the Polk Audio CSi3 blended seamlessly with my Yamaha shelf speakers, something I wholly did not expect. I would imagine this speaker would make a great addition to any sound system with mid to high quality speakers without sticking out in the sound stage.
For the price, I give this speaker my highest recommendation.

I bought this center channel speaker to complete my Polk Audio speaker setup. This center speaker is accompanied by RTi8′s sitting next to the TV, RTi4′s as rear surround sound and this CSi3 as the center channel sitting on top of my TV. I looked at the CSi5 but since I did not have a good place to put it in the center of my entertainment center I was forced to put my center channel on top of my TV, sitting on an OmniMount CCH1B Center Channel Speaker Shelf. Because it was going on top of my TV I wanted to keep the weight to a minimum to prevent it from falling down and killing my TV or itself. While I wanted to minimize the weight I didn’t want to minimize the sound or quality and that is where this speaker shines. It matches my other speakers perfectly and provides ample and crisp dialogue with ease. I used to constantly turn up my sound when any dialogue came on and turn it down when the action started. With this center channel speaker I no longer have to adjust the volume and can hear everything perfectly.
If you have been listening to your home theater without a center channel then this is the perfect upgrade. You never really realize how much sound the center channel produces until you get a good one and crank up the volume. I would never listen to a home theater without one after realizing how important they really are.

This speaker is HUGE !!!
It is louder then all my other speakers had to turn down the center channel. I think the impedence of this speaker is really 6 ohm and not 8ohm. I didnt measure but I guess it to be about 25% louder then other speakers being fed the same power.
Im still toying with crossover settings on my reciever but this unit sounds good as low as 60hz.
